The REEL LIFE name was actually born when I started up REEL LIFE Performing Arts, an after-school musical theater program for kids in grades K-9, with the mission of using theater to work on life skills and character development. My background as an elementary school teacher and my passion for working with kids to help build confidence was the driving force that led me to create this program. We used class time to sing, dance, play acting games and work through common issues that kids face.

We will be working on the following and much more:

• Character development → personal growth & self-awareness

• Plot twists → resilience through challenges

• Rewriting your script → growth mindset & goal setting

• Scene changes → adapting to transitions or change

• Supporting cast → friendship & empathy

• Spotlight moments → confidence & celebrating successes

My new program does not involve putting on actual plays like I have done previously. The mission is what happens during classes/workshops. The details of these will be coming soon!
